Audio Video Intercom System
Unlike key phone and telephone systems, an Intercom System is used for connecting internal users. The Intercom System is not linked to external telephone lines hence you cannot use the intercom to make external phone calls nor talk to parties that are not located in the premises. It has its own dedicated cabling and uses proprietary intercom handsets.
So why would you want to have a proprietary dedicated intercom system when a key phone system can perform the dual function of connecting internal and external users? When your applications does not require the user to contact outside users or when you require 1-touch quick instant easy access to communication.
Examples of such application includes:
- Intercom communication between plant rooms and facilities linked to a Central Control Room
- Intercom located at critical doors linked to a Central Security Command Center
- Intercom at lift lobbies linked to apartment intercom enables residents to communicate with visitors before opening the door
- Intercom at gates and main door linked to handsets ensure authentication of visitor before releasing the door

Audio Intercom System
Audio Intercoms can be used for inter-room or facilities communication though most are used for communication between a visitor at a door, with the people in an office. We carry a range of audio intercom systems that can be broadly organised as follows:
- 1 -1 door phone to intercom handset configuration: the simplest of all configuration, this normally comprises a door phone linked to an intercom handset. Commonly found in single door office or home application
- Multiple door phone to intercom handset configuration: like the 1-1 door phone, this configuration allows a number of door phones to be connected to a number of handset. Commonly used in multi-door, multi station applications such as single door office with a number of people tasked to release the door; or in offices with more than one entrances. Also commonly found in residences with side door, front gates and stations at various levels.
- Multiple Apartment/office Configuration: typically single door leading to common lobby of an office building or an apartment, the door station may comprises many buttons - each button linked to an office or apartment; or for bigger system, a keypad with LCD display for inputing the office or apartment unit
- Telephone Entry System: Normally used for condominiums and office building, it features a keypad with LCD display for inputing the unit the visitor wishes to visit. The system will automatically dial the office or apartment using the telephone line
- Audio Interphone Configuration: for inter-office or facilities communication. Commonly used for building or facility management or factories
Single Entry Intercom
A common application for offices and residential, the Single Office/Home Intercom System comprises a Door Station (located at the main door or gate) linked to at least one (up to 3 maximum) audio handset. Visitors to the premises can communicate via the intercom, and the owner can press a button on the handset to release the door or gate, granting access to the visitor.
We carry three ranges of audio intercom systems - Kocom, Commax and Aiphone. Kocom and Commax are made in Korea and Aiphone is made in Japan.

Multi Entry Intercom
For multi-tenanted offices or buildings; and small apartments applications, a Multi-Entry Intercom System features a Door Station with either dedicated buttons for each tenant or apartment; or an intelligent numeric keypad with LCD Display to input the required unit address.

Video Intercom
Video Intercom can be used for applications where it is desirable or useful to see the visitor before releasing the door. Such a system comprises a door station that is equipped with a camera, and a handset with a monitor for viewing. Depending on the brand and model, some systems may feature hands-free handset.
We carry both colour as well as black & white Video Intercom.
Single Entry Video
More commonly found for homes and certain offices, such a system comprises a door station with either a colour / B&W camera with its matching handsets and monitors.
