Dahua Technology was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Zhejiang, China. It is the world's second-largest video surveillance manufacturer by market share, behind Hikvision. Dahua produces a comprehensive range of IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and video management software covering residential through to enterprise-scale deployments. Their product range is comparable in scope to Hikvision and similarly competitive on price.
Like Hikvision, Dahua is on the US Entity List and is restricted for US federal procurement under NDAA Section 889. For Singapore commercial projects without that restriction, Dahua is a capable and cost-competitive platform. Securevision has installed Dahua systems for clients who came to us with an existing Dahua preference or where Dahua equipment was already in place. Our engineers are familiar with the platform and can commission, expand, and service Dahua installations. For new projects without a specific brand requirement, we recommend Hikvision as our primary CCTV platform.

Dahua NVRs are ONVIF-compliant and can be integrated with third-party alarm systems and access control platforms. For existing Dahua installations being expanded to include alarm or access control, we configure event-based bookmarking so alarm zone triggers create timestamped clip references in the NVR: giving security personnel a direct video record for each event without manual search.
