Widely Installed. No Longer Manufactured.
GE-Caddx NetworX panels were engineered to a professional standard that has allowed them to run reliably for decades. Interlogix — the manufacturer behind the NetworX series — ceased operations and exited the market at the end of 2019. There are no new panels, keypads, or mainboards available from the manufacturer, and official manufacturer support has ended.
Despite this, GE-Caddx NetworX systems remain operational across a significant number of Singapore properties. The NX4, NX8, and NX8V2 are stable, well-engineered panels that continue to perform reliably provided the hardware remains intact. Many of these installations were completed by Securevision and we continue to support them.
Securevision Scope
Securevision has been installing and servicing GE-Caddx NetworX systems since 2006. We retain full technical knowledge of the NX series — programming, zone configuration, user code management, and fault diagnosis. We can service existing panels, assist with documentation, and advise on the most appropriate upgrade path when the system reaches end of life.
Ongoing Technical Support for Existing Installations
We continue to support GE-Caddx installations where the hardware remains intact. Our engineers know the NX series thoroughly and can assist with the following.
Programming & Configuration
Zone programming, user code management, keypad configuration, and walk-test support for NX4, NX8, and NX8V2 panels. We work from the original documentation and our own field experience accumulated over two decades of NX series installations.
Fault Diagnosis & Servicing
Tamper alerts, zone faults, communication path failures, and battery replacement. We can diagnose and resolve most operational issues on existing panels where components are still functional.
Documentation Support
Installation manuals and user guides for the NX4 and NX8V2 are available in our Product Library. These are provided as a resource for existing owners and their technicians managing day-to-day operations.
Parts Availability Notice
Mainboards and keypads for the GE-Caddx NX series are no longer available from the manufacturer. If a mainboard or keypad fails, replacement is not possible through the standard supply chain. In this situation, we recommend a full panel upgrade — existing cabling and sensors can almost always be retained.
When the Panel Needs Replacing
When a GE-Caddx mainboard or keypad fails beyond repair, we recommend upgrading to a current hardwired alarm panel. In most cases, the existing zone cabling and detectors can be fully retained — only the panel and keypad require replacement. This significantly reduces the cost and disruption of upgrading.
Retain Existing Cabling
Zone cabling installed for the NX series is standard two-core or four-core alarm cable. In the vast majority of Singapore installations, this wiring is fully compatible with modern hardwired panels and does not need to be replaced.
Retain Existing Detectors
PIR motion detectors, door contacts, and shock sensors from the original GE-Caddx installation are typically standard NC/NO devices compatible with any modern hardwired panel and can usually be carried over directly.
New Panel and Keypad Only
The mainboard and keypad are replaced with a current RISCO hardwired panel. The new system is fully programmed, tested, and handed over with documentation. Monitoring continuity is maintained throughout.
