A Reliable Global IP Phone Brand
Yealink was founded in 2001 in Xiamen, China: the same city as Yeastar and Fanvil, reflecting the concentration of SIP communications engineering talent in that region. Yealink has grown into one of the world's most widely deployed IP phone brands, with a comprehensive range covering entry-level desk phones to executive touchscreen models, DECT cordless systems, and video conferencing endpoints. Their Optima HD Voice technology and acoustic engineering are well-regarded in the industry, and the phones carry a reputation for solid, consistent performance.
Yealink and Fanvil are both capable, reliable IP phone brands with overlapping product ranges at comparable quality levels. The practical difference for Singapore office deployments comes down to two factors: price and deployment flexibility. Yealink's phones are generally priced higher than equivalent Fanvil models. Fanvil's 2-wire retrofit system: allowing reuse of existing keyphone cabling: has no direct Yealink equivalent, making Fanvil the stronger specification for retrofit deployments. For offices that specifically prefer Yealink or have an existing Yealink installation to extend, Securevision is fully capable of supplying and supporting the range.
Securevision Position on Yealink
Securevision's primary IP phone recommendation is Fanvil: on grounds of price competitiveness, the 2-wire retrofit capability, and the Wi-Fi range breadth. Yealink is available and supported for clients who specifically request it, for existing Yealink environments being expanded, or where a client's existing IPPBX has a preferred Yealink provisioning template. Both brands are Yeastar-certified and work on the same Yeastar IPPBX platform.
T-Series: Entry to Executive
Yealink's T-Series covers the full range of office phone requirements across three tiers: straightforward to match to role and usage level.
T3 Series: Entry Level
Entry-level SIP desk phones for standard office use. HD voice, PoE, dual Ethernet with PC passthrough port, colour or monochrome display depending on model. 2–6 SIP lines. Cost-effective for large deployments where a simple, reliable handset is the requirement and advanced features are not needed at every desk.
T4 Series: Mid Range
Mid-range business phones with colour displays, Optima HD Voice, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth on higher models, and expansion module support. The T46/T48 models are widely deployed in Singapore offices: 16 SIP lines, large colour display, good button layout for busy multi-line users. The T4 is Yealink's strongest selling tier in the Singapore commercial market.
T5 Series: Executive
Yealink's high-end phone series with large touchscreen displays, video capability, Microsoft Teams and Zoom certification, and full unified communications integration. T57W with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in. For executive and reception positions where the phone doubles as a UC endpoint for video calls and Teams integration.
Yealink vs Fanvil: How We Choose
For most Singapore office IPPBX deployments, Securevision specifies Fanvil as the primary phone brand. The key reasons: Fanvil is priced lower at comparable specifications; Fanvil's 2-wire retrofit system (X303-2 Wire + PN8/PN24 switches) has no Yealink equivalent for keyphone cable reuse; and Fanvil's Wi-Fi range and door phone integration on the same platform are practical advantages for Singapore mixed-infrastructure offices.
Yealink is the right choice when: the client specifically requests Yealink; the office is expanding an existing Yealink deployment; the T5 Series touchscreen or Microsoft Teams certification is a specific requirement; or the client places particular value on Yealink's acoustic engineering and build quality at the higher-end models.
Both brands work on Yeastar IPPBX. Securevision can supply and support either. We will always give an honest recommendation based on the specific project requirements rather than a fixed preference.
