There are 4 main series. They are :
For most of our clients, the Pro Series and the Ultra Series would be suitable. This is why we focused on these 2 NVR Series. Check out the NVR Comparison Chart.
The Hikvision Pro Series NVRs feature optimized H.265+ and H.264+ compression codecs, enabling highly effective bandwidth and storage management. This series comprises the 76/77 Series which features 4/8/16/32 cameras with a 1/2/4/8 HDD configuration. Ideal for residential, small to Medium Size Businesses.
Within this series, you have the Q, K and the I series denoted by the last letter in its naming nomenclature. We recommend the K Series for most of the applications.
The I series is for applications where AI cameras such as License Plate Recognition or Face Recognition Cameras are used. Contact Us if you have any questions.

The Hikvision Ultra Series NVRs include the 96 series which features 16/32/64/128 cameras with 8/16 HDD in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 configurations. This series is for larger installation which requires larger storage in RAID configuration. We recommend this series for institutions and industrial building applications.

IVMS 4200 is a free client software application for Hikvision video surveillance, access control and video intercom systems. The software is free to download and use, and can be downloaded on Windows PC as well as MAC.
IVMS 4200 also works on mobile phones and you can download the mobile app from your favourite store.
It is easy to configure and set up and there are many youtube video tutorials that you can refer to if you have an issue.
