Migrating a decade-old EntryPass system to ZKTeco CV Security - 50 doors, mixed credentials, zero disruption to operations.
Securevision first installed AltitudeX's access control system in 2015, deploying the EntryPass platform across their Sentosa premises. Over eight years of maintenance and expansion, the system grew to its capacity ceiling - requiring a full platform migration to continue supporting the business.

Securevision first installed and commissioned AltitudeX's card access system in 2015, deploying the EntryPass platform across their Sentosa premises. Over the following eight years, we maintained the system through every expansion - adding new doors each time the business grew and new areas of the building came under access control.
By 2023, that growth had hit a wall. The EntryPass system had reached its maximum controller capacity. Adding a single additional door was no longer possible without a full platform change. For a high-footfall commercial venue managing staff, tenants, and operational zones across an entire building, a ceiling on capacity is a ceiling on operations.
AltitudeX needed a system that could absorb the current door count, support different credential types across different zones, and leave headroom for the expansion they were already planning.
| Security Layer | EntryPass Legacy System | Securevision Upgrade |
|---|---|---|
| System Capacity | At maximum - no room to grow | Scalable ZKTeco CV Security platform |
| Door Count | Limited by legacy controllers | 50 doors across 28 InBio Pro controllers |
| Credential Type | Single credential (card only) | Mixed - HID iClass card + face recognition |
| Zone Policy | Uniform access rules across premises | Tiered credentials by zone sensitivity |
| Future Expansion | Not possible without full replacement | Platform ready for continued growth |
A full system replacement raises an immediate practical question: what happens to the existing access cards already in staff hands? Replacing all credentials across a working commercial venue is disruptive and costly.
Securevision designed the upgrade to retain AltitudeX's existing HID iClass cards as the primary credential across the majority of access points. Staff kept the cards they already had. The platform changed - the disruption did not.
In selected areas requiring a higher security threshold, we introduced face recognition terminals paired with card credentials - delivering dual-factor access without imposing it everywhere. The result is a zoned credential strategy tailored to how the building is actually used.
Not every door in a commercial venue carries the same risk profile. AltitudeX operates a mix of public-facing areas, staff zones, operational back-of-house, and higher-sensitivity spaces. The credential strategy was matched to that reality.
Deployed across majority of doors; existing staff cards retained and reprogrammed on the new platform, no reissuance required.
Deployed in select higher-sensitivity areas; dual-factor entry requiring both valid card and biometric verification.
Across all 50 doors, 28 ZKTeco InBio Pro controllers provide centralised management from a single ZKTeco CV Security console. The upgrade was carried out with no impact to AltitudeX's daily operations or visitor schedule - and Securevision continues to maintain and support the system post-migration.
The design brief was straightforward: absorb the existing door count, support different credential types by zone, and leave headroom for future expansion - all without disrupting live operations.
ZKTeco CV Security governs all 50 doors from a single console, with HID iClass card access deployed across the majority of access points and face recognition reserved for higher-sensitivity zones.
People Access Systems →The ZKTeco CV Security platform unifies card and biometric credentials under a single management interface, with capacity for future door additions without requiring controller replacement.
Platform & Management →A full platform migration across 50 doors, replacing a decade-old EntryPass system with ZKTeco CV Security while preserving existing HID iClass credentials.
28 units - industrial-grade 2-door TCP/IP access controllers managing all 50 doors from a single ZKTeco CV Security console. TCP/IP connectivity provides real-time door status and event logging across the entire building.
Access Control Solutions →Deployed at selected higher-sensitivity zones throughout the premises. Enforces dual-factor entry - valid HID iClass card plus biometric verification - without imposing that overhead across every access point.
ZKTeco Platform →Deployed across the majority of access points. Existing staff iClass cards were retained and reprogrammed on the new ZKTeco platform - no reissuance required and zero disruption to staff credential workflows.
HID Credentials →The management platform unifying all 50 doors and both credential types under a single console. Provides enterprise access management, real-time event logging, and capacity headroom for future door additions without controller replacement.
Platform & Management →The ZKTeco CV Security platform gives AltitudeX room to add doors and expand as the business grows.
HID iClass credentials carried over to the new platform, preserving the card investment and eliminating reissuance disruption.
Higher-sensitivity areas now enforce dual-factor access via face recognition and card, without imposing that overhead on the whole estate.
Built on a decade of service, maintenance, and system growth - Securevision remains AltitudeX's access control partner post-upgrade.
Having maintained AltitudeX's system since 2015, we understood exactly how every door was used, which zones carried the most operational risk, and where a simple card swap would suffice versus where biometrics added genuine value. Eight years of service history made the upgrade smarter - and the transition smoother.
Every project Securevision delivers draws on multiple systems working together - cameras, access control, intercoms, vehicle management, network infrastructure, and platform software. The cards below show the full range of systems we design and install. Each one links to a deeper explanation of how it works, when it is needed, and what to look for when specifying it.
