Consolidating six disconnected access systems into one integrated mobile-enabled platform for 17 cluster townhouse units.
D’Elias is a premium cluster townhouse estate where resident expectations for security and convenience are naturally high. However, the development was burdened by ageing, disconnected systems that were no longer aligned with modern operational standards or resident lifestyles.

The estate was operating across six independent access behaviours-two intercom systems, three standalone card access systems, and one vehicle remote system. This "siloed" approach created operational inefficiencies and resident frustration.
| Feature | Before (Legacy) | After (Securevision) |
|---|---|---|
| System Structure | 3-5 Disconnected Silos | 1 Unified IP Platform |
| Vehicle Access | Physical Remotes Only | Mobile App + Unified Remote |
| Credential Security | Vulnerable EM Cards | Encrypted MiFare Technology |
| Resident Experience | Inconsistent & Faulty | Seamless & App-Enabled |
The management council recognised that simply replacing "like-for-like" devices would only perpetuate the silos. They made the strategic decision to shift towards a unified platform-one that could bring intercom, pedestrian access, and vehicle operations into a single manageable ecosystem.
Securevision's approach focused on preserving the existing infrastructure where possible while bridging isolated gate systems into a single secure IP backbone. We prioritised resident usability and management visibility as the core drivers for system selection.
Two Akuvox R28A smart panels replaced the legacy units. By utilising the built-in reader, we eliminated the need for separate standalone access hardware at the pedestrian gates.
An Akuvox A02S access reader was deployed at the hydrant gate, extending the unified security protocol to every estate entry point.
The vehicle gate was integrated into the IP system-allowing residents to open the gate via mobile app or intercom, alongside traditional remotes.
The managing agent now has a single point of truth for all gate activity and system health via a digital dashboard.
The migration from EM to MiFare has eliminated the risk of unauthorised card duplication and internal security gaps.
Residents now enjoy a singular access experience across all gates using the same encrypted card or mobile app.
True security is not achieved by adding more systems, but by removing fragmentation. At D’Elias, consolidating intercom, access control, and vehicle entry into a unified platform eliminated vulnerabilities while improving both administration and daily life.
Every project Securevision delivers draws on multiple systems working together - cameras, access control, intercoms, vehicle management, network infrastructure, and platform software. The cards below show the full range of systems we design and install. Each one links to a deeper explanation of how it works, when it is needed, and what to look for when specifying it.
