Sector Challenges

Why Guarding Models Need To Evolve

Guarding companies in Singapore are facing unprecedented operational pressures. Balancing rising labour costs with client expectations for high service quality requires a shift towards technology-augmented operations.

Manpower Pressure

Progressive Wage Model (PWM) updates and rising labour costs are compressing margins across the industry.

Contract Pricing

Resistance to higher contract pricing from MCSTs forces companies to find new ways to maintain service standards with less manpower.

Manual Workflow Risks

Over-reliance on manual visitor logs and gantry operation increases the risk of human error and security gaps.

Quality Expectations

Clients increasingly expect real-time site visibility and digital audit trails as part of standard service delivery.

Strategic Support

Where Technology Can Support Guard Teams

Integrated technology is not about replacing guards: it is about empowering them to focus on high-priority security tasks while automating the repetitive ones.

Visitor Verification

Self-service visitor kiosks and QR code access reduce the burden of manual registration at the main gate.

Vehicle Automation

Advanced Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) allows for automated entry of known vehicles, freeing guards for patrol.

Incident Review

AI-powered surveillance allows for rapid incident retrieval and remote review, supporting guardhouse teams in real-time.

Guard Workflow Integration

Connected systems provide guards with immediate data on their monitors: from intercom calls to perimeter alerts.

Operational Outcomes

From Manual Work To Better-Controlled Operations

We help guarding companies transition to outcome-based site support, where technology provides the necessary auditability and responsiveness to stay competitive.

Commercial Flexibility

Flexible Deployment Thinking

We understand that guarding contracts are finite. Securevision offers flexible deployment models that allow you to adapt technology to the site and the contract term.

Partnership Process

How Securevision Works With Guarding Partners

01

Site Assessment

We review the current site operations and identify labour-heavy workflows.

02

Friction Points

We pinpoint where technology can most effectively reduce repetitive manual tasks.

03

Integrated Design

We design a technology layer that supports the guard team without overcomplicating the site.

04

Deploy & Sync

We deploy the systems and remain on-call to ensure ongoing operational coordination.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we hear regularly from security guarding companies exploring technology partnerships for condominium sites.

Does integrating technology mean we need fewer guards on site?

Not necessarily: and that is not the framing we recommend. The better question is whether your guards' time is spent on high-value security tasks or on manual, repetitive work that technology can handle. A guard freed from manual vehicle logging can focus on patrol, incident response, and resident service. The headcount decision belongs to your contract terms: our role is to make the guards you have more effective and your service more competitive.

How do your systems integrate with our existing guardhouse setup?

We assess the existing guardhouse infrastructure during the site survey: monitors, intercom stations, access control terminals, and network setup. In most cases we can integrate with or replace specific components without rebuilding the entire guardhouse workstation. We also train your guard team on any new interfaces as part of commissioning, so there is no operational gap at handover.

What happens to the technology if we lose the guarding contract?

This is a genuine commercial concern and we address it at proposal stage. We offer deployment models designed around contract term lengths: including configurations where hardware ownership and maintenance obligations can transfer cleanly between parties if the contract changes. We discuss this openly rather than leaving it as an ambiguity in the agreement.

Can you work directly with the MCST or do you need to go through us?

We work in whatever structure serves the project best. For some guarding partnerships we engage the MCST directly with you present. For others you prefer to manage the MCST relationship entirely and brief us separately. We follow your lead on stakeholder management: our role is to provide the technical and engineering credibility that supports your commercial relationship with the estate.
