Integrated security design for a modern minimalist private residence by Edmund Ng.
Located at Dunbar Walk, this private residence is a masterclass in modern minimalism designed by Edmund Ng. Known for his forward-thinking, design-led approach, Edmund Ng creates spaces where clean lines and the integration of art and architecture form a unified experience. His influence in Singapore design is marked by a restraint that allows materiality and light to define the space.
Securevision was engaged to deliver an integrated security system that complements this architectural language. Rather than competing with the minimalist aesthetic, our technical implementation was designed to be almost invisible-providing comprehensive protection while maintaining the design purity intended by the architect.

This project was designed in collaboration with Edmund Ng Architects, a Singapore practice known for integrating art, experience, and structure in contemporary residential architecture.
Edmund Ng’s architecture is defined by an ability to integrate art, experience, and structure. Our security design followed this philosophy-ensuring technology remains a background service that supports the home’s openness.
We eliminated visual clutter by ensuring all security hardware respects the clean architectural lines of the residence. We provided a forward-thinking technical layer that balances residential openness with controlled, secure access points. This ensured that high-performance surveillance and communication remain discreet within the refined minimalist setting.
Our technical strategy was coordinated closely with the architectural design: we maintained zero-clutter architectural ceilings, coordinated the gate and intercom for seamless entry, ensured 100% perimeter coverage with 15 cameras, and provided intuitive control across all floors.
At Dunbar Walk, Securevision acted as the technical integration partner, focusing on the discreet placement of cameras and devices to align with Edmund Ng’s minimalist architecture. We coordinated the surveillance, intercom, and gate systems to work as a unified backbone, ensuring that safety never compromises the home’s aesthetic integrity.
By planning the equipment positioning with the architectural lines in mind, we delivered a system that provides industrial-grade security coverage while remaining almost invisible in day-to-day living.
The residence is protected by three primary technical layers, established to provide quiet confidence without interrupting the architectural flow.
15 Hikvision network cameras providing comprehensive situational awareness of all external boundaries and approach paths.
Aiphone JOS high-fidelity intercom system, enabling clear visitor verification through four indoor monitor points.
FAAC heavy-duty autogate motors for the main driveway, integrated with pedestrian side gate control for a secure perimeter.
Coordinated viewing and access control across all systems, providing a single operational view for the homeowners.
The final outcome at Dunbar Walk delivered comprehensive security coverage that feels entirely native to the home’s architecture. Homeowners benefit from improved visitor control and full perimeter awareness, all managed through systems that are easy to use and maintain.
By focusing on design-led integration, Securevision achieved a level of technical integrity that supports the daily rhythms of modern landed living without introducing visual noise.
In modern minimalist homes, the best security systems are the ones you do not notice-yet they are always working.
Every project Securevision delivers draws on multiple systems working together - cameras, access control, intercoms, vehicle management, network infrastructure, and platform software. The cards below show the full range of systems we design and install. Each one links to a deeper explanation of how it works, when it is needed, and what to look for when specifying it.
