GE Caddx NetworX Series is Obsolete!

The NetworX line of control panels represents a full-featured security system that uses advanced technology for burglary, fire and environmental detection.

A highly flexible security option that is both easy to install and simple to use, NetworX control panels can accommodate smaller residential applications up to the most demanding commercial security needs. The series includes the NX-4, NX-6, NX-8 and NX-8E control panels.

The NX4 and NX8 are extremely popular in Singapore and has been in use in many homes, offices and institutions.

END OF PRODUCTION For GE Caddx

From 2019 onwards, the NetworX and Simon III range has been discontinued.

In September 2019, Interlogix, the manufacturer (GE Security / UTC Technologies) announced that they are winding down operations to focus on other growth opportunities.

While there may be spare parts available for replacement, the Series has reached End-Of-Line. There is no support for the range.

What Does This Means?

If you are shopping for a new system

Choose any brand but the GE Caddx. While you will still find it listed on some websites, these are existing stock for which there is no longer support from the factory. GE have exited this business. A good brand to consider is the RISCO LightSYS.

If you have an existing NX4, NX6 or NX6 GE Caddx

Alarm Panels are durable and are built to last. There is no immediate rush for you to change the panel. You do not need to change unless the motherboard fails or the keypad is no longer working. You may not be able to get a replacement part. Or consider changing it if it lacks a feature you need. For example, mobile apps or remote monitoring.

Changing to RISCO LightSYS

But in the long term, you may want to consider swapping out the alarm panel with our RISCO LightSYS2.  This will ensure that you have the best support and the latest technology like mobile phone apps.

With the LightSys, you can re-use existing sensors and there is no need for re-wiring.

Moving to Wireless AJAX

But if your cabling and sensors are damaged, it may be easier to swop to our wireless AJAX Alarm System.
